Apollo is the god most associated with music, poetry and art in general, leader as he was thought to be of the various muses. In fact, it is in this aspect that he seems the most appealing, the arts being the signpost of civilization and the golden mean.

This section of my site is primarily concerned with music and includes a blog of what I’m my impressions of music I’m listening to these days. Most of this will concern Western art music (Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, etc.). However, lately I’ve been tuned into the music of the Berlin-based group 17 Hippies. They mix European folk music, French chanson, and other influences into a polished but fun mélange. Deine Tränen is a fair example of their music.
